ANOTHER PARK LIBRARY PATHFINDER: Campaigns & Elections 2004 Greetings! Eric Gautschi just completed the latest pathfinder for our Park Library. Here is the link to Campaigns & Elections for 2004. Note that this pathfinder is especially created for JoMC 54 students but both Eric and I believe that it will serve our entire student body. http://parklibrary.jomc.unc.edu/politics_pathfinder.htm Best regards, Barbara P.S. For a review of other pathfinders available to our faculty and students, please consult this URL: http://parklibrary.jomc.unc.edu/pathfinders.html PROF. BLANCHARD'S BOOK DONATION TO OUR PARK LIBRARY Greetings! True to her word, Peggy Blanchard arranged to leave her impressive collection of books to our Park Library. And thanks to the Herculean efforts of Lois Boynton and her trio of book packers and haulers (grad students Charles McKenzie, Martin Kuhn, and Matt Taylor) 311 books were collected from Peggy's home and delivered to our Park Library on Tuesday, July 13. Add to that number 284 books grad student Dale Edwards and I collected from Peggy's office and we can count a total of 595 books. This is an impressive addition to our Library's collection. As many of you know, Peggy focused her research on the First Amendment and the issues and trends associated with a free press. These books will enhance our collection. We expect that cataloging this collection will take our Park Library staff months to complete. Currently Dale Edwards, a library director in his former life, is managing this task for us. To date he has cataloged 78 of Peggy's books. Best regards, Barbara
