
BIO BRIEF
Linda Henderson has been the library director at the Providence Journal since 1991.Linda, a native of Oneida, New York, has a BA in English from St. Lawrence University and an MLS from Rutgers University and has been a news librarian for 19 years. She is active in the News Division of the Special Libraries Association and now serves as secretary of the division. She put together and moderated a session on archiving for the SLA conference in Indianapolis in 1998. She also participated in The Visual Edge '98 at The Poynter Institute and is a founding board member of Access Rhode Island, a non-profit organization dedicated to open government.
She has recently moved into a 100-year-old farmhouse on 3.5 acres and figures that this will be her hobby for the rest of her natural life.
