Career Profile

A fourteen year work experience with the Bank of Montreal as Senior Manager of Research and Business Information Services. Consultant to major North American companies for several years managing reengineering of information services. Currently, employed by the World Bank/ International Monetary Fund with full oversight for planning, staffing, and providing information services to the institutions staff and Central Banks and central governments in all developing countries as well as G-7 countries.

An active participant in library and information science professional activities for over 20 years culminating in being elected President of the Special Libraries Association (SLA), an association of over 15,000 information professionals in 60 countries. Recently elected Fellow of the Special Libraries Association.

A frequently invited speaker at international information conferences in library and information technology topics. Written extensively on a variety of topics.

Freedom Forum fellowship to South Africa in 1999 to train journalists in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Soweto, in using the Internet as a research tool.
